Celebrating Compassion and Student Achievement at Annual Chapel

Published on: April 7, 2017

Our staff and students had a lot to celebrate at our annual K-8 Celebration Chapel on April 7, 2017. Awards and certificates were handed out to students being recognized as Spelling Bee finalists and to those students representing LCS at the Manitoba Science Symposium. Music Festival pieces were performed and standings for our choirs were celebrated. Mr. Mitchell Wiebe congratulated our Middle Years bands and jazz bands. Our Grades 7-8 volleyball and basketball teams were honoured and Mr. Manfred Glor extended appreciation towards our hard working coaches.

Our community also celebrated the dollar amount of $7,418.23 collected for the Heart and Stroke Foundation through our Jump Rope for Heart initiative. Mrs. Sirant reinforced our school’s vision of encouraging our students to be compassionate community members.

Congratulations to all of our students and many thanks to our staff for their leadership, coaching, and encouragement towards our students.
