Compassionate Community Members Support Operation Christmas Child

Published on: November 27, 2017

Linden Christian School collaborated with Grant Memorial Church and the surrounding area to pack 4,341 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child this year. Our community filled 361 gift-filled boxes and on November 20 our Kindergarten to Grade six students, along with Middle and Senior Years leadership teams, worked as a human chain to move 3,178 shoeboxes from the Auditorium out to the shipping container in the parking lot. The gift-filled shoeboxes are now making there way to children impacted by poverty, war and natural disasters worldwide.

Our school’s vision statement reinforces the importance of helping our students grow to become compassionate community members. The Samaritan’s Purse / Operation Christmas Child initiative is an annual opportunity to do just this!
