This year Mr. Ryan Wiebe’s Grade 12 Physical Education Leadership Class organized the Terry Fox School Run. The students spent time planning, communicating with teachers, and in set up, pace setting, collection, and event details. It was encouraging to see our Senior Years students setting a strong example of leadership and community focus.
On Friday, September 29, our community enjoyed wonderful weather for the event. K-12 students, and staff and family members walked and ran for the cure! Loved ones were honoured and stories were shared as our community came together to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. The Terry Fox School Run is one of the largest fundraising events in Canadian history and yearly participation reinforces our school’s vision of helping students grow to be compassionate community members.
