Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing

During the weeks between Spring Break and the move to remote learning, students were singing outside whenever weather permitted. In these photos, Middle Years choral teacher Ms. Janna Banman was directing a Grade 8 cohort through a rehearsal of “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.”

The lyrics of this song challenge us to keep our hearts tuned towards God’s grace and to foster a spirit of praise. What a helpful reminder as we navigate the current restrictions and raise our own Ebenezer.

The word Ebenezer literally means “stone of help.” In the Bible, this stone was a constant reminder to the nation of Israel that God had protected them and led them to victory. God was their helper, and the Ebenezer was a visual reminder of that truth.

How can we remember God’s kindness and praise him for it today?
