Community Matters!

Published on: March 19, 2018

Linden Christian School and Grant Memorial Church partnered to lead two services at Grant on March 18. The morning services included songs from our Grade 3 and SY Choirs, preludes and accompaniment from our MY and SY ensembles, a duet fromĀ Grade 11 student Magnolia and alumna sister Annabelle, Senior Years students collaborating with the Grant Memorial Live at Eleven Worship team and Grade 3 parent Heather Rempel’s powerful testimony.

Pastor John Schaffner and Principal Charach thanked the founding Principal of LCS – Phyllis Cook and her husband Doug. The Cooks were honoured for their vision and commitment to establish a biblically based school on this, the 30th anniversary of LCS.

Pastor John Shaffner reminded guests that community matters! Christianity as unavoidable community and the importance of taking risks to let others into our lives was addressed. Understanding that transformational community is essential for biblical Christianity and that connecting with other Christians is vital for faith formation was the clear message.
