On May 28, 23 students in Grade 8 participated online in the Gauss Mathematics Contest. This international competition, hosted by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing from the University of Waterloo, focuses on problem solving beyond the current grade level content. Students focus on having fun while developing problem solving skills and abilities. Our Grade 8s prepared for this contest by completing practice questions throughout the year.
A special congratulations to Sam S. who received a certificate of outstanding achievement for achieving LCS’ highest mark.
Certificates of distinction were also presented to Ethan N., Andrew K., Daniel P., Andrew W., Philo H., and Robert John D.
