Musicathon Raises Funds on Music Monday

Published on: May 6, 2015

May 4 was Music Monday and at Linden Christian School and the date was marked by the School of Fine Arts Annual Musicathon. Students diligently practiced their musical numbers and raised donations to help pay for teachers’ salaries at the Refuge of Hope School in the Dominican Republic, in preparation for the Musicathon Recitals. All donations for this project are being managed by Ambassadors for Christ Canada and the School of Fine Arts was honored by a visit from Brian (National Director of Amabassadors for Christ Canada) and Linda Hamilton for the Musicathon. They were delighted with the opportunity to enjoy the recitals happening in the South Hall throughout the day.

Thank you to our SOFA families for your support of this event that reinforces our school’s vision to grow our students into compassionate community members. The Musicathon raised a total of $5,820.00! Brian and Linda Hamilton paid a visit to Linden Christian School at a recent Early Years Chapel to intentionally thank the students for their involvement in fundraising for The Refuge of Hope School.  Fundraising went towards helping pay teachers’ salaries and the provision of a new playground for the children at the Refuge of Hope School.
