National Invitations and Gold Standing Sweep for LCS Performing ArtsIt has been a season of harmony and high honours for the Linden Christian School Performing Arts program. Following weeks of diligent practice, our bands and choirs recently showcased their talents at the Manitoba Band Association Festival and the Winnipeg Music Festival, returning with some of the highest accolades in the province.
Band: Notes of Distinction and National Invitations
Our Middle and Senior Years bands represented LCS with exceptional professionalism at the Manitoba Band Association (MBA) Festival. The adjudicators were impressed by the technical skill and musicality displayed by our students.
We are thrilled to announce that three of our ensembles received invitations to perform at MusicFest Canada (Nationals):
- Grade 9/10 Concert Band
- Grade 9/10 Jazz Band
- Grade 11/12 Concert Band
In addition to the National invitation, the Grade 11/12 Concert Band was awarded a trophy for Superior Performance, the highest level of recognition at the festival.
Choir: A “Gold Standard” from Grade 3 to 12
The excellence continued at the Winnipeg Music Festival, where our choral program demonstrated remarkable depth. From our youngest singers to our graduating seniors, the dedication to their work was evident in every note.
In an outstanding achievement, every LCS choir from Grade 3 through Grade 12 received a Gold standing of distinction. This rare accomplishment reflects not only the hard work and talent of our students but also the dedication of our teachers and the strength of our music program across all divisions.
To the Glory of God
While we celebrate these trophies and standings, we are most proud of the way our students conducted themselves. Their performances were a showcase of the “work of their hands,” and more importantly, our students ensured that through their music, God was honoured and glorified.
