Start Planning for Operation Christmas Child

Published on: November 6, 2018

Each Christmas, Linden Christian School partners with Grant Memorial to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with children from around the world. Operation Christmas Child involves preparing simple shoe boxes filled with personal gifts. K-8 students will have an opportunity to participate in this ministry during the Christmas season. K-4 students will be invited to donate items for the boxes that will be prepared collectively in their classrooms. Grade 5 -8 students will attend the chapels and will be encouraged to participate as individuals or with their families. All families who are interested are encouraged to participate by creating their own box to contribute to this ministry. Our K-8 Kickoff Chapel is scheduled for November 7 at 8:30 am in the Auditorium. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the work of Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child at this time. We invite you to join us on Monday, November 19 at 8:30 am for our K-8 Operation Christmas Child Celebration Chapel. Witness the human chain (our students moving boxes out of the Auditorium) and participate with our community as we pray for and prepare the boxes to be shipped around the world.

Please bring all boxes and gift items to school by Thursday, November 15. Boxes and more information will be available in the Main School hallway and in the church lobby.
