A ” Sock-cessful” Mission: Grade 1 Surpasses GoalOur Early Years students have been busy proving that you’re never too small to make a difference. Following a month of focused outreach, our Kindergarten and Grade 1 classrooms completed their collection drive for Siloam Mission, surpassing their original goals with heart.
Our Grade 1 students set an ambitious goal of collecting 390 pairs of socks to donate to Siloam Mission. We are thrilled to share that they didn’t just meet that goal; they soared past it, bringing in a grand total of 514 pairs of socks!
The socks will be delivered to Siloam Mission this week, where they will provide warmth and dignity to 514 individuals in our city.
Not to be outdone, our Kindergarten students focused their efforts on essential hygiene. They successfully collected:
- 262 Toothbrushes
- 157 Tubes of Toothpaste
By providing these essential items, our youngest learners are helping Siloam Mission guests maintain health and self-care during challenging times.
At LCS, our vision is to see students grow into compassionate community members who are equipped to love and serve. Seeing our Kindergarten and Grade 1 students embrace this so early in their education is a beautiful reflection of our school’s core values.
A huge thank you to our Grade 1 and Kindergarten families for your incredible support and for helping your children live out their mission in such a practical, hands-on way. Way to go, Early Years!
