Giving Opportunities

There are a number of giving opportunities that need your support to help ensure Linden has the resources to fulfill our mission and vision.*

There are many ways you can support LCS, whether it be enhancements to our school facilities or providing tuition assistance to a student who needs some additional help to access a Christian education. With your help, we can continue to provide an LCS education to students for years to come. Big or small, all gifts make a difference.

Here are some current fundraising initiatives you can support.

Annual Spring Fundraising Banquet – Saturday, April 27, 2024

Our annual fundraising banquet is an opportunity to celebrate the learning and growing that takes place at LCS. Guests hear from staff, students and alumni while enjoying an evening of great food and fellowship. Gifts raised at the banquet support Linden’s bursary fund and other school needs.

Our 2023 banquet was a “sold out” event, so reserve your seat early for April 27, 2024 by following this link. Questions can be directed to Belinda Knopf at [email protected].

HVAC Renewal 2024

Three of our HVAC units were installed in 1997 and have outlived their usable expected lifespan.

By upgrading, we mitigate the risk of failure, ensuring reliable heating and cooling for years to come.

As stated by our Head of School, Mr. Robert Charach, “It is not as visible as many of our other upgrades, but the reality is that our school cannot operate with an HVAC system managing temperature and ventilation…. We are securing Linden’s future with sustainable, reliable and efficient infrastructure.”

Partner with us today and help LCS ensure a comfortable and healthy learning environment for everyone at Linden Christian School.

The Bursary Fund

Now more than ever, gifts to the bursary fund provide necessary financial assistance to current and future students. Supporting the bursary fund is an important way to ensure that children have access to a Christ-centred education, regardless of family means or emergency circumstances.

Capital Campaigns

Funds raised by capital campaigns support upgrades and additions to the school building. Thanks to the generosity of donors, some of the capital projects we have undertaken over the years have seen additions to the school including much needed classrooms and office space, an art room, a choir room, a band room, a library expansion and a new playscape for our Kindergarten and Grade 1 students. In 2018, to meet student demand for science classes, a new, state-of-the-art Science Lab was completed. In 2020 we raised funds and completed the LCS Field Restoration and Redesign.  Our newly developed Community Courtyard – providing a much needed outdoor gather space for students – opened in the fall of 2022.  Mostly recently, we paved and improved the north parking lot.

Giving Tuesday

Linden’s focus for Giving Tuesday is tuition assistance. This year we are in need of $180,000 to help support families who need some extra help paying their tuition. With rising interest rates, inflation and a higher cost of living, there is additional pressure on many.

Join us on Tuesday and be a part of equipping students with a Christ-centred education and preparing them to be compassionate and faith-filled leaders in our community and the world. Big or small, every gift matters – by making a donation you will make a difference in the lives of our students. Click here to give today!

The Year End Appeal

Linden establishes a fundraising goal each year to address important needs of the school. Every dollar given strengthens our school and provides students with tools and opportunities to learn and grow. With government funding and tuition covering our operating costs, we rely on funds given annually to provide for learning and other new initiatives, our bursaries and our capital needs.

Thank you for helping Pave the Way!

Thank you LCS parents, grandparents, families and friends for embracing this capital initiative.  God moved hearts and our community generously stepped forward.   Many gifts of all sizes were given and the project was largely completed over the summer months allowing for full use of the newly paved parking lot at the start of the 2023 school year.  Enjoy this time lapse video of our Pave the Way project that highlights the process from beginning to end.

The new and improved parking lot includes:

  • fully paving the north parking lot
  • more parking spaces
  • larger parking spaces
  • adding lighting for safety
  • improved drainage
  • additional plug in spaces for staff
  • trees to green our community
  • seating areas

The results exceeded expectations and it has been an encouragement to hear the excitement and positive feedback from our community.

At this time, we are pleased to announce that, with pledges and gifts, we have achieved our fundraising goal.  Thank you to everyone who helped us Pave the Way!
