Job Summary
The Head of School/Chief Executive Officer (HOS/CEO) provides overall direction for the educational and business functions of Linden Christian School (LCS). The HOS/CEO operates in accordance with the policies established by the LCS Board, provincial legislation, and Manitoba Education directives. The HOS/CEO is ultimately responsible to nurture the development of a distinctively Christian school culture where the Mission, Vision and Core Values of LCS are understood and implemented in a caring, Christ-like manner.
Education – The HOS/CEO is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of all matters pertaining to the educational programs and services of LCS.
Administration – The HOS/CEO is responsible for the overall operation and sustainability of the school. This encompasses the oversight of budgeting, finance, human resources, and advancement programs such as marketing, fundraising, and alumni relations.
The HOS/CEO builds and maintains effective communication and relationships – internally with staff and students and externally with the community at large including parents, the LCS Board, Grant Memorial Baptist Church, other independent schools, associations, external professionals, the neighboring business community, and governing authorities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education Degree from a recognized university or college.
- Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
- Eligible to hold a teaching certificate in the Province of Manitoba.
- Minimum of 10 years educational leadership experience in a public or independent Christian school, including a minimum of five years experience in Administration.
- Highly developed relational, communication, human resource and business management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proven experience and abilities in fundraising and donor development.
- Eligible to work in Canada.

Linden Christian School (LCS) invites applications for the position of Middle Years Spiritual Care Support.
This is a 44-week part-time position with 22.5 working hours per week from late August to the end of June.
The Spiritual Care Support position will offer spiritual guidance and pastoral counselling to female LCS students and contribute to the planning and execution of programs designed to strengthen students’ spiritual development. Relevant experience in youth ministry, worship leadership, and counselling is required.
This position will suit an individual who enjoys working with students while providing spiritual guidance on a personal level within the school community. The individual will be a team player, compassionate, able to follow up, likes to plan ahead but can adapt to last minute changes, will have a positive attitude, and wants to learn and grow in an environment where serving God together is rewarding and meaningful.

Educational Assistants are valued members of the school team and make a significant contribution to the work of the school and the education of all students. They are responsible for supporting the work of teachers and clinicians through a range of activities dependent upon specific student needs within the learning environment.
This is a full-time school year position (from September to June).
The successful candidate will:
- Present a fully processed Criminal Record Check from the Winnipeg Police Services or RCMP which affirms that the Vulnerable Sector Screening is clear.
- Provide a Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Have satisfactory completion of the Department of Education’s Respect in Schools program.

This is a 45-week full-time position with 37.5 working hours per week from late August to early July.
The Librarian is responsible for all library services, planning, development, operations including the school’s online subscriptions, electronic and physical textbooks, and physical collections at the school. Previous experience with research related skills, library management, Excel, Google Workspace, and staff/department supervision would be required.
This position will suit an individual who enjoys working with students from elementary to senior grades and serving others. The Librarian will be a team player, detail oriented, accurate and able to follow up, likes to plan ahead but can adapt to last minute changes, will have a positive attitude, and wants to learn and grow in an environment where serving God together is rewarding and meaningful. Experience with budgets, purchasing, and general supervision is required.

Job Title: Maintenance / Full-time Property Department
Job Summary:
The Maintenance position will include general maintenance functions for both Grant Church (GC) and Linden Christian School. Knowledge of WHIS and the ability to operate commercial tools and equipment is required. The position requires good communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team. The Maintenance person will report to the Property Manager.
Time Requirements:
This position is full-time with a 40-hour/week Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance:
- Open building as required
- Repairs/renovations
- Yard/Flower Bed/Lot Up-keep
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, basic plumbing and
- Respond to work order requests, ensuring prompt attention to minor repairs such as fixing leaky faucets, changing light bulbs, and unclogging drains.
- Inspect and maintain common areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well- functioning (e.g., foyers, hallways, parking lots).
- Monitor heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and address minor issues.
- Operate a skid steer for snow clearing of parking lots and roadways
Requirements:
- Willing to drive a skid steer for winter snow clearing; on-the-job training is available
- Physically fit and able to lift to 50-70
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to be a team player and work independently
- Prompt and dependable
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, MSDS, WHMIS and Workplace Safety
