Linden Christian School (LCS) invites applications for the position of Substitute Teacher for all levels Kindergarten through Grade 12. LCS is a K-12 independent school with almost 1000 students. An LCS substitute teacher contributes to the accomplishment of educational practices and objectives that will advance the Mission and Vision of Linden Christian School. The successful candidate will:

  • hold a valid MB Teaching Certificate;

LCS Statement of Faith

JOB SUMMARY: The Before and After School Care (BASC) Staff provides childcare for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 who attend the program. The BASC worker is on duty for morning, afternoon, or split shifts. Activities include childcare, activity planning and participation, basic administrative tasks, daily chores such as set up and cleaning, and other duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Anticipated M. Shift (7:15 – 8.30 A.M.) and/or P.M. Shift (3.15 – 5:30 P.M.),or modified shifts for LCS students
  • Check BASC staff message board or emails, assignment, and daily plan
  • Set up, maintain, and supervise assigned area(s)
  • Greet children and engage with their morning or afternoon routines and activities (i.e. snack, quiet or active play, homework)
  • Maintain accurate attendance list for students in your area(s)
  • Communicate regularly with Supervisor or Coordinator and promptly as issues arise (i.e. injuries, incidents, accidents, and any other concerns)
  • Direct students to the appropriate area on arrival and promptly at parent pickup time
  • Support Supervisor or Coordinator to provide late care or other tasks as needed
  • Attend orientation, training sessions, and staff meetings as assigned
  • Submit availability and report hours worked to Coordinator as on time

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Experience with children
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Developing problem solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to supervise, care for, and play with children
  • Must enjoy working with and caring for children in Kindergarten through to Grade 6

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Linden Christian School (LCS) invites applications for the position of Substitute

Educational Assistant for the 2023-2024 school year. LCS is a K-12 independent school with almost 1000 students. The Substitute Educational Assistant (EA) is responsible to support the work of teachers and clinicians through a range of activities dependent upon specific student needs within the learning environment. EAs are valued members of the school team and make a significant contribution to the work of the school and the education of all students.

The successful candidate will be:

  • experienced working with students with learning needs;
  • be able to work with a wide age range of student needs and ages;
  • be comfortable assisting with high school subjects;
  • have a sincere love for Jesus Christ evidenced by lifestyle, including regular
  • attendance at weekly church services;
  • give evidence of a strong commitment to Christian faith in belief and practice,
  • and be in agreement with LCS’ Mission, Vision and Core Value statements;

  • Certification or Diploma from a recognized Educational Assistant Program is an asset, but is not required;
  • Experience working with children in an educational environment;
  • Experience working with students with exceptional needs is an asset;
  • Ability to work with students one-on-one and in a small group setting;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective interactions with members of
  • the school community;
  • Ability to work within a team setting.

The School of Fine Arts invites applications for a violin Instructor for March to June throughout the 2023-2024 school year. SOFA offers weekly private music lessons for children during and after the school day.

Required Experience:  2 years experience teaching violin.

The Worship Minister shall minister to the spiritual needs of Grant Memorial Baptist Church (GMBC) through leading and planning worship services and celebrations that are honoring to God, consistent with biblical principles of worship, and that demonstrate the values and advance objectives of GMBC. The Worship Minister will have a passion to lead stylistically diverse worship environments including traditional and contemporary formats to engage the congregation in
authentic worship. The Worship Minister will have the proven ability to recruit, equip and empower volunteers to serve in all aspects of the worship ministry.
