Bands Close Fall Concert on a High Note

The Sanctuary was filled with energy and music on October 29, 2025, as our Grade 7-12 Concert and Jazz Bands presented their highly anticipated fall concert. Under the dedicated direction of Middle Years band teacher Marla Friesen and Senior Years band teacher Bobbie Fast, students delivered fantastic performances, executing songs that were both playful and technical.

LCS ensembles demonstrated the progress they’ve made in a few short months, resulting in a cohesive and high-quality concert experience. Mrs. Friesen and Mrs. Fast were thanked for their tireless work in leading our students in their pursuit of musical excellence. The evening featured several talented soloists, whose individual talents shone brightly.

The concert ended on a high note, when a Grade 8-12 Mass Jazz Band performed an upbeat and memorable arrangement of “We Are Family” (arr. Paul Murtha), leaving the audience with a powerful reminder of community.
