Hoops for Hope Varsity Basketball Tournament to Support CancerCare Manitoba

The Linden Christian School Hoops for Hope Varsity basketball tournament was established in 2014 to support those in need and initially began as a Varsity Girls tournament. Over the years the tournament has evolved and had different formats. Boys and girls participated some years, while recently it has become a Varsity Boys initiative.

his year (2026), The Hoops for Hope Tournament will be hosted by Linden Christian School (all games in the LCS gym), from January 29-31. Admission costs will be $5.00 per day or $10.00 for a tournament pass. We are thrilled to be bringing back this tradition and will be donating all proceeds to CancerCare Manitoba this year.

There will be 10 teams competing in this year’s tournament, including Niverville, St. James, Swan Valley, Westgate, and Shaftesbury. Click here to see all the teams and the rosters for this year’s tournament.

Come out to the LCS gym between January 29-31 and cheer on our Wings, while supporting cancer research in Manitoba.
