How Majestic is Your Name: Early Years Concert Highlights Praise and RhythmThe Sanctuary was filled with energy, drums and voices of praise during this year’s Early Years Music Concert, beautifully themed “How Majestic is Your Name” on June 10, 2026. Under the direction of Early Years music teacher Brenda Johnson, our youngest performers from Kindergarten – Grade 4 took to the stage to share their musical gifts and a powerful message of faith.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome and opening prayer led by Mrs. Heather Karr, setting a beautiful tone of gratitude for the community gathered.
Our Kindergarten students charmed the audience right out of the gate with enthusiastic renditions of “My God is So Big,” “Get in the Ark,” and “God is So Amazing.” Grade 2 kept the momentum going, officially greeting families with the traditional welcome song “Funga Alafia,” before later bringing down the house with the high-energy “William Tell Percussion Band.”
Grade 1 reminded us of timeless truths with “The Wise Man Built,” later teaming up with the Grade 2 class for a powerful, combined performance of “Majestic”—a perfect nod to the evening’s theme. Following an offering led by Mr. Bryan Schroeder, the rhythmic energy escalated when the Grade 4 Bucket Band performed a captivating, synchronized performance of “The River.”
The Grade 4 performance of our school song, “Because He Loves Us,” featuring beautiful solos by Shiyao Q., Jack K., Jackson H., Kenzie U., Jude S., and Mackenzie P. Grade 3 kept the joyful spirit alive with “Make a Joyful Noise” and “Sing It!”, leading perfectly into the evening’s grand finale: a collaborative performance of “Psalm 8” featuring Grades 3, 4, and the Grade 4 Dancers. Mrs. Karr returned to the stage to offer closing remarks, capping off an unforgettable evening of worship and community.
