Lest We Forget – Presentations Honour Sacrifices Made

Our Kindergarten – Grade 12 Remembrance Day Chapel on November 7, 2024 honoured those who serve and our veterans. Classroom presentations paid tribute to those who courageously gave everything for our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We heard about the importance of wearing a poppy and setting aside a time to remember. We heard a beautiful rendition of Prayer of the Children (arr. Andrea Klouse) by our Grade 11-12 Choir and guests participated in a moment of silence between “Last Post” and “Reveille” from Senior Years student Henry H. It was wonderful to have LCS parent Nana Asabir speak to us about the Canadian Armed Forces and why we should honour Remembrance Day. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Logistics Service, specializing in Finance within the 38 Canadian Bridge Group Headquarters in Winnipeg. We also prayed for an end to global conflict and for strength to be ministers of reconciliation and peace.
