More Than Just a Hallway: Help Us Transform the Lower Level (And Triple Your Impact)We launched our latest capital project – a Lower Level Refresh: More than Just a Hallway at our Annual Fundraising Banquet on April 25. For LCS students, the basement hallway is more than just a thoroughfare, it’s a place between classes, a spot for quiet study or to eat lunch, and a hub for daily connection. We are excited to update this space to reflect the incredible energy of the students who use it.
The Vision
This isn’t just a coat of paint. The Lower Level Refresh will completely transform the hallway into a modern, functional area featuring:
- Moving Lockers: To ease hallway congestion.
- Additional Seating: Dedicated areas for students to gather and study.
- New Tables: Creating space for projects, lunch-hour chats, and focused work.
- Updated Environment: Brightening the entire level to create a welcoming and refreshed environment.
The Goal: $250,000
And, thanks to the incredible generosity of two foundations, your gift will be tripled! They have committed to matching every dollar we raise by June 30 up to $50,000.
Double Matching Opportunity – Your Gift, Tripled
Here is how the match works: For every $1 you give, these foundations add $2 more. That means your gift is automatically tripled:
- $100 becomes $300
- $1,000 becomes $3,000
- $10,000 becomes $30,000
To unlock this $150,000 in combined funding and move closer to our $250,000 goal, all matching gifts must be received by June 30, 2026.
We are working hard to try to have the corridor updated by fall. This timeline allows us to complete the majority of the work, while the students are not on campus.
