Passport to Our Community: Global Community Days

It has become a tradition to celebrate Global Community Days each April at LCS. This year’s theme, “Declare God’s Glory Among the Nations” was taken from Psalm 96:3-4. It was exciting to see 67 students (representing 15 different countries) participate in the Kindergarten to Grade 12 event, sharing their culture and traditions with our students and staff.

Table displays were set up and tours occurred on April 24. Our Senior Years presenters were enthusiastic as they interacted with students using cultural games, slideshows, artifacts, and more.

All students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 were invited to dress up in clothing that represented their culture on April 24.

On Friday, April 25, Grade 7-12 students participated in a chapel where family groups read scripture in their country of origin languages.

What a beautiful display of God’s glory! We were blessed by the meaningful displays, celebratory presentations, and powerful stories. How wonderful to learn about each other and give praise to God as a diverse community.
