Student Athletes Honoured at Annual BanquetJunior Varsity and Varsity athletes were honoured at the 2023 LCS Athletics Banquet on Saturday, June 10. Each year our athletics department hosts a catered event and celebrates the achievements of our volleyball, basketball and soccer athletes.
Guests to the banquet enjoyed a delicious supper from Bergmann’s on Lombard. Throughout the course of the evening the following awards were presented:
Athletic Achievement Awards – JV and Varsity athletes were honoured for overall commitment to excellence and a high level of performance on our LCS school teams.
Christian Character Awards – JV and Varsity athletes were selected for their commitment to serving as ambassadors for Christ on and off the field and/or court.
Most Outstanding Player Awards – were presented to select students for exemplifying the highest level of skill and excellence in their sport at the JV and Varsity levels.
Coaches Awards – were presented to JV and Varsity athletes that their coaches determined to exemplify leadership, skill level, energy, and a positive attitude towards their sport and teammates.
Athlete of the Year Awards – were presented to students who played on multiple teams and displayed the key principles of an LCS athlete (works hard, plays as a team, strives for excellence and serves as an ambassador for Christ).
Thank you to all of our coaches and to our Athletics Department for their leadership, commitment to excellence, and for planning this special event. Thanks also to Grade 11 student Wesley C. for taking photos at the banquet.
