Students Sing of the Light of the WorldLCS students in Grades 5-8 performed for guests at their Christmas Choral Concert “Light of the World” on December 13, 2023. Guests heard from Middle Years choirs, Grade 7 and 8 Honour Choirs, Grade 7 and 8 Girls and Boys Choirs, and a Percussion Ensemble.
Musical numbers spoke of the light that Jesus brings into our lives and the gift He brought to a broken world when He arrived as a baby in Bethlehem. Pieces included “The Light Come Down”, “Star of Wonder”, “Shine Your Light” and “Bring a Torch”. There were lighthearted moments during numbers from our Honour Choirs. Rudolf the Red Nosed Dinosaur appeared and light up drum sticks delighted guests in “Little Drummer Boy”. The interactive skit “The Christmas Trees; A Tale of Hope and Love” performed by the Grade 7 Honour Choir, was written and directed by our very own Middle Years choral teacher Mrs. Janna Reid.
What a blessing it was to celebrate the “Light of the World” as a community at our Middle Years Choral Concert!
