3D Paper Line Art Sculptures
February 2
Grade 1 students in Miss Rumbolt’s class created 3D Paper Line Art Sculptures. They have been learning about the Element of Art and Form and recently read the book “The Dot” by Peter Reynolds.
Students used big and small dots and then twisted, twirled and folded paper strips to make unique sculptures that incorporated primary and secondary colours. Each piece of artwork was given a title to express each student’s vision and imagination. The children were given directions on how to make “duck feet” on the end of each strip of paper to anchor the creations. It was exciting to see spheres and cones incorporated into the masterpieces as well.
It is so exciting to see our young students use their creativity and imagination!
