Young Leaders Guide Winter Fun

Kindergarten to Grade 4 students enjoyed a day of winter fun at our annual Winter Carnival on Monday, February 24, 2025. The mild weather made for perfect conditions as students participated in a variety of winter activities that included soccer, curling, igloo tag, festival du voyageur games and four corners. From the fast-paced action of broom ball to the slippery slides of toboggan games, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Students also cultivated skills in ice soccer and tested their strength in an enthusiastic tug-of-war.

At LCS, we place high value on developing future leaders. A special thank you goes out to our Grade 6 students, who stepped up to lead the Winter Carnival stations throughout the day. It was wonderful to see our older students grow in leadership skills, guiding and encouraging the younger children. Their enthusiasm and patience made the day even more special for the Kindergarten to Grade 4s.

Our annual Early Years Winter Carnival was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a true sense of community. It was a joy to watch our youngest students embrace the winter season and create lasting memories. A big thank you to all the staff and volunteers who helped make this event possible.
