Beauty and the Beast is a tale as old as time, filled with adventure, drama, and love. Once upon a time, in a faraway land, an Enchantress turns an apathetic Prince into a hideous Beast. In order for the spell to be lifted, the Beast must find reciprocated love “before all the petals fall from an enchanted rose” – otherwise he is to remain a Beast forever.

Ten years later, in a small village far below the Beast’s castle, a beautiful and intelligent young woman, Belle, yearns for adventure.

Belle’s father, Maurice, sets off for a trip to a faraway fair so that he can showcase one of his inventions. Unfortunately, he gets lost along the way and seeks shelter in the Beast’s castle. Enchanted servants – Cogsworth, Lumiere, Babette, Mrs. Potts and Chip — try to help Belle’s father, but believing he is an intruder, the Beast captures Maurice instead.

When Belle’s father doesn’t return home, she embarks on a journey to try to find him. While attempting to rescue her father from the Beast, Belle offers to take her father’s place so that her father can be released and go home. The Beast agrees, and provides Belle with a space of her own, but Belle quickly regrets her deal. Unlike the Beast, the castle’s enchanted servants practice great hospitality; treating Belle to a special dinner and making her feel at home. The servants recognize this coincidence of meeting Belle as a chance for the Beast to break the spell. Being stubborn, the Beast is reluctant to take his servants’ advice to act like a gentleman.

One day, the Beast saves Belle from a pack of wolves, and eventually, Belle and the Beast start to understand each other. While deeper feelings between the two of them arise, trouble is happening back in Belle’s village. The townspeople believe that Belle’s father is crazy, and in turn, place him in an insane asylum. The arrogant Gaston, who had recently tried to propose to Belle, now wishes to kill the Beast due to jealousy. Additionally, the Beast and his servants are troubled by the enchanted rose and fear that soon no petals will remain. Will true love be expressed before time runs out?
