Mentorship in our Performing Arts Program

On Tuesday, Dec 19, each Grade 8 homeroom spent 30 minutes in the Grade 11-12 Concert Band class. Bringing our Middle and Senior Years’ performing arts students together created a collaborative environment for students to learn from and encourage each other. Our Grade 11 and 12 band students played along with the Grade 8s as they began sight reading their Optimist Festival pieces that will be performed in February. Mentorship opportunities are one of the many exciting benefits of being part of a K-12 school. We are appreciative of our Grade 11 and 12s for being kind and supportive musicians, and for encouraging our Middle Years students in their pursuit of musical excellence.
