Senior Years Choral Concert Celebrates Global Community

Our Senior Years Choral Christmas concert took place on December 14 at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church. The theme for the evening was “Joy to the World”. Grade 9-12 choirs and ensembles highlighted Christ’s birth through the performance of songs from around the globe, including numbers from Nigeria, Trinidad, Germany, Belgium, Israel, and Puerto Rico.

This LCS Senior Years concert always includes candlelight and an invitation to our guests to join Mrs. Neufeld and students on stage for the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah”. This year our guest soloist for the offertory was Jinyoung Cheong (LCS parent), accompanied by his daughter and alumna Seyeon Cheong ’19.

Thank you to our Senior Years choir teacher and Performing Arts Director Mrs. Kim Neufeld for preparing our Grade 9 – 12 choirs and ensembles for the beautiful concert. Thanks also to our guest soloist and all of our accompanists for the evening.

We love this candlelight tradition!
