Celebration of Learning at Grade 7 Science Fair

The LCS Grade 7 Science Fair took place on March 13, 2024. Students, who had been collecting data and working on their projects throughout February and March, presented to judges in the morning. Parents, guests and Grade 1-6 classrooms had the opportunity to tour the fair and ask questions of the researchers in the afternoon. Students were given feedback on their projects that will grow their thinking and research skills for years to come.

At the conclusion of the day Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were awarded. Our Gold Medal Finalists will be representing LCS at the Manitoba Schools Science Symposium in April.

LCS Grade 7 teaching staff did a great job of organizing the event and leading our students through the scientific process. We are thankful to our parents who supported this valuable learning experience for the past few months. Thank you to our volunteer judges, who offered feedback to our students to support their academic growth.

All presenters have the opportunity to extend their learning by participating in two upcoming Provincial science fairs: the Bison Regional Science Fair on April 18 and Manitoba Schools Science Symposium on April 26-28.

Congratulations to our Gold finalists who will be representing LCS at the MSSS on April 26-28: Johann V, Avery N, Asher E, Nash S, Avanya D, Ayda S, Ayomipo O, David L, Laura A, Iwinosa A, and Brielle M.
