We Remember
November 9
Our Kindergarten – Grade 12 Remembrance Day Chapel on November 9, 2023 honoured those who serve and the many who sacrificed for our freedom. Classroom presentations included “I am Wearing a Poppy”, “The Five Senses of Peace”, an “Acrostic on Flanders Fields”, “Act of Remembrance” and the drama “Requiem”. Guests participated in a moment of silence between “Last Post” and “Reveille”. Head of School/CEO Robert Charach shared a personal story about the cost of peace (his family fleeing White Russia in 1917), and prayed for continued freedom in Canada. We also prayed for an end to global conflicts and for strength to be ministers of reconciliation and peace.
