Connections Made at Winter Carnival

Our Kindergarten to Grade 4 students navigated broomball, curling, soccer, toboggan, tag, Festival du Voyageur, four corners and chain relay stations throughout the day on February 27. The postponed event enjoyed mild temperatures and an enthusiastic response from our Early Years students. Everyone was excited to be outside after multiple weeks of cold weather and indoor recess!

Grade 6 students led each station and did a wonderful job of organizing K-4 classrooms with energy and thoughtfulness. The Middle Years student leaders taught new skills and led games in the big field for our Kindergarten to Grade 4 students throughout the day.

What a great way to connect our Middle and Early Years students, and reinforce LCS core values of service, leadership development, and an education built on relationships.

Thanks to Early Years Physical Education teacher Mr. Riley Bredin, EY and MY’s staff, and our EAs for helping to support this annual event.
